Casa Franc presents a confident architectural expression, defined by strong geometric massing, crisp detailing, and a façade resolved with clarity and intent. Rather than relying on ornamentation, the home’s impact is achieved through proportion, shadow, and a disciplined material palette. Central to this is Rockcote Finecote, specified here in a custom colour developed specifically for the project, named “Casa Franc”.
Rockcote Finecote brings a refined depth to the exterior. Its ultra-fine texture reads as continuous and sculptural, allowing the architecture to remain dominant while the surface subtly responds to changing light. The result is a façade that feels solid and composed, with a finish that enhances every junction, edge, and reveal without distraction.
The success of the façade lies not only in the product, but in its execution. RenderX, as specialist applicator, Matt, delivered a highly controlled application, achieving uniform texture across large surfaces while maintaining sharp, refined transitions at all architectural details. The workmanship ensures the render reads as a continuous architectural skin.
This project held particular significance for owner Danika Downing, as it brought her dream project to life. She led the interior design direction and selections, ensuring a cohesive vision throughout, and worked closely with Matt from RenderX to bring the custom colour to life with precision and intent. The architectural concept was guided by Building Designer Sandra Smedley, whose considered planning underpins the home’s clarity of form and function.
Behind the build, PJH Constructions provided the structural precision required to support such a finish. Careful substrate preparation, alignment, and detailing ensured the surface could be expressed without compromise – allowing the façade to resolve exactly as designed.
The result is a sculptural and assured home where material and form are inseparable. Casa Franc demonstrates how considered architecture, combined with Rockcote Finecote in a bespoke project-specific colour and executed with precision by RenderX and PJH Constructions, can deliver a façade of quiet strength and enduring refinement.
