The Strut Road project demonstrates a highly considered façade system where multiple Rockcote finishes are combined to achieve depth, durability, and a refined contemporary aesthetic. Designed with a strong focus on material layering, the result is a façade that feels cohesive yet visually rich in texture and tone.
A complete Rockcote system was used across the build, including Sandcote Hydratech, standard Sandcote, Smooth Set White, and Cerano. Together, these products create a structured build-up: Smooth Set White and base systems establish a clean substrate, Sandcote Hydratech and Sandcote introduce natural mineral texture and tonal variation, while Cerano provides a smoother, more refined finish for contrast and architectural definition. Sandcote Hydratech in particular adds a subtle sparkle and hydrophobic performance layer, enhancing both appearance and weather resistance.
The application was carried out by Riley Surface Finishing, ensuring precise execution across each system layer. The project was delivered by Burton Residential Construction, with photography by Katherine Lu Film, capturing the interplay of texture, light, and form across the finished façade.
The result is a balanced architectural expression where each Rockcote product plays a specific role, working together to deliver a durable, high-performance exterior with a sophisticated, layered finish.
